Meet the District Governor

District Governor Allan Church and Pat

Allan was born and educated in Townsville and is now the Managing Director of the Family business which was started by his father back in 1964. The business is involved in the Building and Construction Industry.

Allan joined the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise in 1990 and has been President and Community Service Director. On a district level has been the Group 6 representative for Group Study Exchange and Assistant Governor, GSE Team Leader to Florida, and District Chair of the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund.

Allan is a Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow, a Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member and a member of the District’s Paul Harris Society. He has received The Four Avenues of Service Award and the Centenary Medal for service to the Community.  In 2008 Rotary International recognized Allan with the Service Above Self award.

Allan is married to Pat who also works in the business as Office Manager.  She is a member of Quota International of Thuringowa and has been District Governor. Pat has received the Helen Kinross Award and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

They have 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
